I’m big on breakfast. It’s my absolute favorite meal of the day. I’ve even been known to serve breakfast for dinner a time or two. However, my breakfast just does not compare to that yummy goodness that is IHOP.
When I heard about the new Griddle Melts at IHOP, I thought that they looked and sounded delicious. I’m sure you can imagine my excitement when I got the go ahead that I would be able to try them out for myself!
The whole family packed up late morning on Saturday and made our journey to IHOP. We had the whole family, so we headed out in two cars since not everyone could fit in one. I swear, we do need an SUV or even a minivan for our crew!
Of course, I knew what I was getting before we even got there; a Ham & Egg Melt. Now I have to say that it tasted even better than it looks, if you can imagine that! Eggs, ham and Swiss cheese between two pieces of golden buttery bread, it’s available in half and whole melt. I got a whole because I was hungry, but I could have definitely done fine with a half. I did have a whole meal leftover for Sunday breakfast though and it was still just as delicious the next day!
We were impressed with the amount and taste of all of the food we got actually. The hubby got a Steak Omelet and it was humongous! IHOP is definitely a place that you will not likely leave hungry, that’s for sure!
A kids favorite in my family is the pancakes. I was surprised when Lil Man opted for the Ham & Egg Melt too. He ordered his with french fries and managed to scarf down more than I did! Growing boys sure can eat!
