Valentine’s Day is tomorrow! Can you believe we’re already celebrating Valentine’s Day this year? If it snuck up on you, the way it snuck up on me, you probably are frantically searching for ideas to make tomorrow special. Splurge: Nothing is quite as relaxing as getting a massage. A massage at home is even more special, not only because it’s intimate, but it’s free as well! And nothing adds to a massage quite like massage oil. Available in different scents, sensations like warming or cooling, and varying degrees needs such as deep tissue or dry skin, massage oils bring a whole new level to the comfort and closeness to massages.
Steal: I love using massage oils during an at home massage, but if you can’t make it to the store or find yourself in a spur of the moment massage, just use lotion you already own! The night before, place your lotion body that gets the most sun in the morning or by a heater at least five to ten minutes prior to the massage!
Barry White (Or other artists)
Splurge: Now that you’re nice and relaxed from your massage, why not continue the euphoric sensation with some music? Barry White’s deep voice is like a massage for your ears and calming on the soul. Every time I hear one of his songs, my eye lids grow heavy and I’m almost lulled into a deep, calm sleep. Pick up his cd at the store (while you’re getting your massage oils) or download it from iTunes (link above).
Steal: If Barry White isn’t your idea of romantic serenades (although, I’ve never actually met a person who felt that way) or you just don’t want to purchase a cd, then try streaming from Spotify or Pandora. Both have free options and you can stream Mr White’s station on Spotify!

Bath Fizzies/Bombs and Candles
Splurge: What goes better with smooth tunes than a nice, hot bath? A nice hot bath with bath fizzies and candles! Bath fizzies or bombs are compacted mixtures oils, salts, and more that effervesce when added to the water. Some release amazing scents and other turn the water fun colors. All of them leave your skin supplely soft! It’s a great experience soaking in a bath bombed tub with your Valentine! Around the bathroom, place a few tea lights or heart shaped candles, which are abundant at big box stores, to set the mood!

Splurge: Valentine’s Day just isn’t complete without sharing some sweets by the fire. This is where you should splurge, splurge, splurge! Not all chocolate is created equal, but go for what you like. Try truffles and other bite sized pieces you can share or even going daring with some chocolate sauce!
