Do you ever wish you could make delicious, mouth watering, restaurant quality Hot Wings? So did we! Hot Wings are Lil Man’s favorite, so after deciding to make some for his birthday dinner, we scoured the internet for the perfect Hot Wing recipe. Let’s just say that it was a little bit harder than we thought it would be!
He likes spice. The spicier, the better. Too bad the rest of the house doesn’t exactly share that mindset. So we improvised. We took features from a few different recipes that we found and created our own delicious and unique recipe! The bonus is that this recipe is enough to feed an army, or a Super Bowl Party!
Ingredients:
- 8 lbs fresh chicken wings {cut and divided}
- 10 oz Kraft Catalina Salad Dressing
- 6 oz Frank’s RedHot Original Hot Sauce
- 1 package dry Lipton Onion Soup Mix
- 2 tbsp Minced Garlic
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 3 tsp Cayenne Pepper, plus extra for later
- Lawrey’s Seasoning Salt
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- Wash and cut the chicken wings in half, then cut the tip of the wing. Place in a large baking pan.
- Sprinkle onion soup mix, Cayenne pepper and seasoning salt over chicken wings. Bake for 40 minutes.
- Mix Catalina dressing, hot sauce, minced garlic, honey and cayenne pepper in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- When wings are done, remove from oven, spoon sauce mixture over chicken wings, making sure they are all well coated.
- Bake 15-20 minutes. Serve hot!
