Funnybone games are what I like to call ‘smart games’. They’re ones that stimulate your brain with creative smarts and the three games offered from Funnybone Toys utilize vibrant colors and patterns that are great for adults as well as children.

- Array: Connect the cards to build a beautiful array of colors.
Add a little splice and slice to make the array explode! Sound simple? Wait till someone tosses a Splatter or SLAM card your way!
You can play Array on a table – but for even more fun, play it on the floor and see how big your array can grow! Be the last person in the game by building the largest array of color you can!
- Cubu: Visual illusion leads to confusion as you try to follow number and color sequences.
Watch out for the action cards that could completely disrupt your turn!
Get to 100 points before the rest and you?ve won the CUBU challenge!
- Spectrix: Build and expand groups of beautiful color sequences and matches. Mix and match your own and other players? cards into strategic groups to be the first to play your entire hand.
It’s not as easy as it seems! Complete and collapse a spectrum into ?white light? to increase your chances of winning!
I chose to review Spectrix because it was not only a wonderful game that both my teen and tot could find enjoyment in, but also because it is played in a similar fashion to my favorite game of all time: Rummy!
The video shows how it can be played as the rules state with the cards (in the Rummy style) OR you can use it for the perfect game of Match for little ones! My tot loves the color schemes and trying to line up the colors the way they are on the Spectrix color array cards.
The interesting thing about Spectrix is that you can change other people’s color combinations. If I had cards that would create a longer sequence with my son’s, I can play off his cards with mine to up my chances of getting rid of my cards faster. Just don’t mess up and ruin the sequences or you might have to take more cards!

In my opinion for gifting – Cubu looks to me more like a game for adults since it requires a lot of speed and perception. This would make a fantastic stocking stuffer for a friend / partner who loves games! Array and Spectrix are great for families because they can be played as they are, as matching games or learning tools for pre-schoolers! Fantastic ways to keep your kids brains working over Holiday Vacation.
