UV Skinz Swim Wear Review & Giveaway {CLOSED}

I think we have a new summer tradition. Sonshine is going to wear only UV protective sun wear during the summer time. He did it all last summer and this one is not proving to be much different. We’ve been buying our swim shirts at different kids stores, and I’ve been let down on how well they’ve blocked the sun, still having to put sunscreen over his clothes as well, it’s been a sticky, and for Sonshine, an annoying situation.

UV Skinz is a UV protective swim wear clothing line designed with every day use in mind. We were able to review a three piece set, a reversible bucket hat, a swim shirt, and swim trunks. All made with 50+ UPF certified fabric which blocks 98% of the suns harmful rays. The light weight, breathable fabric also has flat-lock stitching so nothing digs into your babies sensitive skin and my favorite part, the fabric is also chlorine-resistant. The clothing is also stretchy, made with elastane threading, so your growing kid can still fit in their shorts from the start to the end of summer! 

Sonshine was sent the Red Surf Set, which was just adorable on him! I ordered a size up because he’s in this awkward growing phase and the swim shorts and swim shirt fit him with ample room to grow. (Although, I’m sure by next summer they’ll be too small!) Lucky for us, we live down south and summer goes on until October! The best part, is how well these sun protective clothes protect little skin from  harmful sun rays. I forget to reapply sunscreen after two hours in the pool and luckily, the water shielded my little guy from too much damage, but the UV Skinz clothes left my son’s skin unblemished, he was extremely well protected. Sonshine’s favorite part of his own UV protective clothing has to be the bucket hat! He’s allowed to chose which side he wants to wear for the day and, as he discovered at the park, it doubles as a great bucket to move water and wet sad. (Much to my chagrin.) In fact, whenever we’re going out for the day, he demands to wear his new bathing suit! I guess you can’t be too prepared, right?
