Life Manifestos was born when New York Times bestselling writer Stephen Palmer discovered the Holstee company manifesto. Upon reading it, his first thought was, ?That’s really cool. I?d love for my kids to grow up reading that.? Then a light erupted in his head. Why not write and design dozens of similar manifestos that allow people to proclaim their passion to the world?
The concept is simple: Aspirational manifestos, designed as works of art, that resonate with passionate, purposeful, liberty-minded, principle-based people, in order to inspire and motivate ? ultimately to impact the world for good.
Ever since we moved into our house, the husband and I have been in a disagreement on what to put up on the walls. I love the paintings we have from my brother-in-law, but I want to put them in different room than Hubbers does. So, the walls are still bare and nothing seems to quite go with the blue shade we picked for the living room other than neutrals and it’s still not the ‘home-y’ feeling we’d have.
With Life Manifestos, I no longer have to worry about that perfect central piece to hang up on our wall in the living room! We received the personalized Family Manifesto Poster which fits perfectly in our decor with it’s universally pleasing designs and colors. I haven’t had a chance to purchase a frame for it yet, but the rich brown and tan hues really pop against the blue-green of our room and I know that when we have company over, there eye will automatically be drawn to it!
And the manifesto are words we can all live by, as families, no matter the size or strength of the bond, the words are universal:
“We are best friends. In our home you are loved, wanted, appreciated, and cherished no matter what.
You are safe to be vulnerable. To be silly. To vent your frustrations. To share your emotions, struggles, and embarrassments.
We encourage you to dream big, and we do everything possible to make your dreams come true.
We give you confidence to venture into the world and get knocked down. Come back to us. We comfort, heal, and strengthen you. And whisk you back out the door with a smile on your face, the dream glistening in your eyes, courage beating in your heart.
We believe in you. We?re on your team. In your corner. Your biggest fans. Cheering our hearts out for you to reach, strive, leave it all on the field, become who you were born to become.
We are family: united, unbreakable, eternal.”
I love how the words are arranged on the poster as well. Some are larger than others, while some look a bit more put together and charming, other stronger than the next, a true symbolism which is family. Apart, the words are just a word, regardless of the font, but, together, just like a family, they make a foundation and shout out a great message to the world.
Life Manifesto offers a few categories asides just from their Family one. I really like the “Live Extraordinary” Manifesto, which has encouraging words, perfect for anyone about to embark on a great adventure! And the Entrepreneur’s Manifesto is perfect for anyone who is starting their own business and may need a few words of reminder or encouragement.
If you’re looking for that little something to pull together a room, or inspiring words to send a college bound child with or even your best friend who is launching her own business off, then Life Manifesto has the perfect words for you.
