Who doesn’t love dessert? It just happens to be one of my favorite things about a meal. I love all the sweet, gooey, chocolaty, crumbly, and loving goodness that dessert provides.
In our family, I have always been considered to be the baker, not the cook. Don’t get me wrong, I like cooking but I LOVE to bake. During the holidays, I have been known to get a bit crazy with the baked goods. Not only do I bake them, I give them a gifts with all the ingredients in jars too!
One of my latest crazes is making desserts in jars! Finally, something to do with all of these mason jars other than use them to drink, hold change, or as a makeshift vase.
Thanks to Shaina Olmanson’s new cookbook, Desserts In Jars, I have been keeping busy feeding my family some delicious sweet treats!
Desserts in Jars gives you 50 sweet treats that you can make to bring on a picnic, packs along for a potluck, or mail them to a friend. These treats are a delicious addition to the sweet scene and our family has been welcoming them with open arms!
So far, I have made Peanut Butter Cupcakes (these are so sinful but soooooo worth it!), Flourless Chocolate Cakes served with a scoop of ice cream on top and then, there is one that is my favorite so far (I’ve made them 4 times)……the Campfire Bars Mix! If you like S’mores, you will LOVE these!! I’ve even included the recipe below!
