As you may be aware, March was National Craft Month. In our home, crafting is something that we do on a regular basis. With kids of all ages in our home, every one has different crafts that interest them. Zack, my 13 year old is big on finger knitting since I taught him how a few months ago. Libby, my 11 year old daughter can turn just about anything into a huge craft project. She is best known for her tinfoil and duct tape creations. When it comes to Xander, the 4 year old home/preschooler, I like to try all different kinds of crafts projects to help expose him to all different mediums of arts and crafts.
We recently spent some time crafting with some wonderful fabrics from Quilting Treasures using Dinosaur Train fabrics. Quilting Treasures offers a variety of craft sheets on their site as well to help you create some fabulous projects with your fabric. One of the fabrics we received is this beautiful gold colored fabric featuring the characters from Dinosaur Train.
We did use our other swatch of fabric, this beautiful blue adorned with numbers to create a memory board to hold all of Xander’s little treasures (ie: junk mail, items from mommy’s desk and pictures). It was pretty easy to create following the instructions off of the Quilting Treasures activity sheet and in the end, I think we have a pretty nice board.
