We turned our Bali Safari into the theme for our Spring collection, debuting in late January. Cepat! Cepat! It’s time to hurry up and jump inside the typical Bali jeep on our fun new boys’ tee. It’s another in our continuing line of graphic tees inspired by the “let’s go” phrases of our destinations. Of course there’s a safari jacket that looks great on boys (and makes a great “borrowed from my brother” piece for girls). We even named one of our boys polo after Agung, our great Balinese guide. Our boys tees are an island full of Bali fun — scooters, tigers, elephant kings, crocodiles, frogs and more. We created some fun new silhouettes for girls, including the knot dress in 5 ikat and batik inspired patterns. The twisted knot waistband gives them a sarong sensibility — it’s a new twist on the knit dress.
What I love most about Tea Collection is that they create their styles from the inspiration they receive from their journey’s around the world. This Spring, their new collection features patterns inspired from their trip to Bali (that you can read all about here) and all the majesty that captured their hearts. I was very excited to be a very small part of their adventure by showcasing a few items from their Bali Collection.

For Judah there was the Raya Stripe Shirt and the Alligator Ikat Tee. Raya actually stands for “big” in Indonesian, which I think is cute since Judah likes to call it his Big boy shirt. The interesting thing about the Alligator shirt is that the alligators are Ikat patterns. Ikat means “to bind”, it is a characteristic of dying by binding the threads before constructing the cloth. It also has beautiful neon green accents on the shoulders to match. Both are made from 100% Cotton and are machine washable.
The Raya Stripe Shirt goes with everything, it’s incredibly comfortable as well. Both shirts were worn with Tea Collections Surplus Playwear Pants in Lizard color, very fitting!

My little princess was able to review the Artisan Lotus Dress and the Dancing Fern Dress coupled with So Soft Skinny Leggings in Rose Petal. She’s such a tiny little thing that she just looks like a flower in the dresses!
The Artisan Lotus dress is Tea Collection’s modern version of print mixing. It takes an Ikat print and a lotus print and mixes them for a new modern style. Both dresses are made from 100% soft cotton and are machine washable. The So Soft Skinny Tights that gave the dresses that extra oomph are made from a wonderful jersey tissue fabic in 100% cotton.
Both of the children loved the outfits and so do the Mommies (Kenzie isn’t mine, I just steal her). They’re perfect for the spring, they mix and match well with any of the other styles, patterns and colors from the Bali Collection (and much more). They really came out of Bali with a magnificent vision for this new spring’s wardrobe and it is certainly one to fall in love with.
