One of my all time favorite memories from Elementary school was exchanging Valentines with my classmates. I loved the darling cards and little envelopes. But today, most of the valentines you find at the store are not much to get excited about. They are attached to one another and you have to tear along the perforations, HOPING that you won’t tear the card. You don’t get an envelope anymore (and who didn’t love an envelope for including a couple conversation hearts or stickers?) and they are super thin. It can be so frustrating as a parent to purchase these super thin cards and I am always on the lookout for something better. I have contemplated making my own cards (I actually did one year, back when only my daughter was in school) but with five children, all who have Valentine Exchanges in their classes this year, that would simply take too much time.
I was so excited to get the opportunity to review Valentines by Peaceable Kingdom. These fun cards are so far and above what I have purchased for my children in the past. Neither of the packs that I received came in sheets that I had to carefully separate! They all were pre-cut and stacked nicely, ready to address and send! The two packs that I received are the:
Valentine Airplanes
and
Treat Box Valentines Cards
My boys are so excited about the Airplane cards! These are super cute and inside of a nice folded card (with envelope!) is a punch out card that folds into a paper airplane! How cool is that? My kids also love the Treat Box cards, and can’t wait to stuff them with goodies for their friends!
Here are my littlest boys getting ready to start addressing cards for their classmates:
If you are looking for a unique option for this year’s Valentine Exchange, look no farther than Peaceable Kingdom. These darling cards are so much more fun than any others that I have seen.
