The Organic Skin Co has deep roots. Gertrude Anderson, an ancestor of the creator of The Organic Skin Co, dispensed herbs and natural remedies almost 150 years ago in Preston, England. Fast forward to a more modern time, where Megan learned to make natural remedies in the back of her grandmother’s New Zeland health food shop. Eventually Megan traveled to India, after a fashion career in London, to learn about the Ayurvedic beliefs and medical practices. She returned home to continue her learning by completing a degree in Herbal Medicine and Naturopathy.
It is from this background that we get The Organic Skin Co line of skin care products. Their simple philosophy is: To provide ethically produce, high quality organic skin care for every body.
I was sent the Brightening Almond Seed Exfoliant. It arrived in its mint green box and immediately I loved the simple, classic packaging. Because, whether we like to admit it or not, appearances count. A pretty package often entices the first trial (of course, if the product doesn’t deliver, we don’t repeat, but a pretty package get’s it in the door) and The Organic Skin Co doesn’t disappoint in either appearance or performance!
I have tried this facial exfoliant several times and I LOVE it. My past experience with exfoliants has been a mixed bag. They either seemed to be so harsh that I was rubbing my face raw or had only a sparse few microbeads in the formula and didn’t seem to do much. The Brightening Almonds Seed Exfoliant by The Organic Skin Co. is a perfect balance. It has tiny gritty bits that gently slough off dead skin cells. I am not sure that I have ever felt my face so smooth before as it felt after using this product. It does a fabulous job without causing irritation. After trying this product I am curious to try the rest of the skin care line.
