It’s really not hard to see why Tonka is celebrating it’s 65th anniversary next year, with such great toys as the Tonka Strong Arm Line! There are six different Strong Arm trucks, and we were lucky enough to try out the Strong Arm Cement Mixer. The cement mixer has large, treaded tires, a take abuse frame, and requires no batteries, making it a free-wheeling, kid-powered toy! What more could you ask for? How about the Strong Arm lever on the side of each truck? Pull the handle on the cement mixer and watch sparks fly inside the window as the whole truck rumbles to life! Not enough fun? Squeeze the lever as you pull down and watch the cement barrel turn and churn! When you’re little one is all done, the barrel comes out for easy clean up!
My son absolutely loves this truck! Although he’s a year younger than the recommend age of 3 and up, he has no problems pulling and squeezing the lever. His face just comes alive as he watches the sparks shoot and fly inside the little lever window, I’m sure he could just watch it all day. We haven’t “mixed” anything in the barrel yet, but that will be a summer time task once the weather is nice enough for outdoor play again, but he understands the concept. Sonshine has shoved a few tissues inside the barrel and squeezed the lever, watching them spin around and around. As it’s a bit larger than most of his other trucks and cars, this has become the mack daddy at pushing around the wee ones. And, even with most of his “cool” toys around, this was the biggest hit with the other boys at his birthday party a couple of weeks ago! We had to promise a few truck play dates with friends!

I’m not the only one who thinks this would be great for your rough and tumble son or even a truck loving daughter!
