“The RCA brand is one of the oldest and well known brands in the consumer electronics industry. The brand was derived from an acronym for the company Radio Corporation of America, which was a major electronics company in existence from 1919 to 1986. Today Audiovox owns the RCA brand for its accessory and several audio video product lines. This brief history will take you from the origins of RCA to today’s high tech product which carries on the brand tradition of quality.”
Oh, how I remember the brand well. The first new television that I remember my parents buying was an RCA. It lasted us through a number of years and held up quite well. That’s why I’m quite excited to include them in our “Winter Wishes” gift guide this year. Well, that and because their PR rep is one of my favorites, who I’ve worked with almost since the beginning of this blog!
For the gift guide, we are focusing on the Powerlink Internet Media Kit. This handy little tech device can turn your power outlet into a high speed internet connection. Below are some of it’s key features.
- Stream HD movies, video, games and more from the web to your internet capable tv
- Turns your electrical power outlet into a high speed internet connection
- Easy setup. Just plug into a standard AC outlet
- Transfer rate 200 MBPS
- Supports up to 1080p
The Powerlink Internet Media Kit is such a great tool to have on hand in this house full of gamers that I have. Nobody is constricted to just one area of the house anymore and that’s great. Our router is in the front of the house and doesn’t quite reach the upstairs bedrooms, so that’s where the Powerlink Internet Media Kit come in handy big time. It really saves my sanity, that’s for sure!
