As a mom of four and babysitter to many, there are a lot of times I wish I had eyes all over the house, not just in the back of my head. Sometimes I have a sleeping baby in my arms, he *just* fell asleep, but is not ready to be moved. I have to move because I need to check on the other kids. Insert grumpy baby here.
When my nephew spends the night, my husband and I get up quite a few times throughout the night to make sure he is ok.
Well, we recently were given the opportunity to check out the Mobicam Digital DXR Wireless Audio/Video Monitoring System.?We were sent a 3.5 inch LCD monitor and a camera unit with the necessary cords to power them. It was easy to set up right out of the box. The monitor comes with arechargeablebattery and cord. I plugged it in and turned the power switch on. Next I took out the camera unit and plugged it up in another room. It does not have a rechargeable battery so it must stay plugged in.
When the Mobicam Digital first turns you will be greeted by the Mobicam screen.
Next the no signal screen popped up.
All I needed to do was press the power button up on the camera unit and we were connected. We had video!
One of the best things I like is the two way communication the Mobicam offers. I used it while watching my children play with my nephew. He did something he was not supposed to do. I simply pressed the talk button on the monitor and told him that was not nice. It caught him off guard, but it was nice to use.The camera automatically goes into night vision when you turn off the lights. No more waking sleeping babies to see if they are ok.With the talk button you do have to hold it a second or two before speaking or you will be cut off.
The entire system is very easy to use. I have taken it with me to use when I travel or visit the homes of family members. It helps a great deal. I really like that I can use in so many ways, when I am over by my aunt’s house, we put the camera on my grandmother who lives upstairs. We worry about her after chemo treatments and this way we can keep an eye on her.
The Mobicam DXR Digital Monitoring System is easy to expand with up to four cameras. They all would show on the monitor. There is also software available to purchase so you view your video while away from home, on mobile smart devices and laptops.
