Halloween is one of my favorite times of year. We love to decorate for it and were pretty excited to start decorating our new house for our first Halloween here. We’ve been a little on the slow side though because of all of the other projects we had going on. Luckily I was selected to take part in a 50 ft Party Halloween event that kicked our butts in gear!
The Man and I spent quite some time shopping on the 50 ft Party site at Kmart.com.
The “Totally Ghoul Marcus the Carcus” was our first choice. There’s a little inside joke here because when one of our friend’s daughter was a toddler, she couldn’t say “Markus” so she would call him “Carcus”. To this day, we still call him Carcus on occasion!

Of course no scary yard is complete without a rising zombie, so we had to get this one too!

Skulls and bones are a must have for Halloween so this skull landed in our cart too! Hopefully we’ll give our new neighborhood quite the scare!

What Halloween collection is complete without a skeleton. I just love this creepy skellie.
The nice thing about shopping online at Kmart.com is that you can add certain items to your cart and select the “GO” option, which has them ready for you to pick up at the store of your choice. Since this shopping mission got me all excited to decorate, I chose that option for the products that I could and decorated right away. We still have some more to add, but it got dark last night and this morning I woke up to rain, boo!
Here’s a close up of our zombie rising from the dead! The front of our house is a perfect spot for it because we have these large dirt ares that we ripped bushes out of.
Then we have Mr. Skellie hanging off the site of the house! He looks “Spootacular”!
There were a couple of items that were out of stock online and not available at the store for pick up. I was quite excited when I saw some of them when I went to pick up my “GO” order, so I had to snag them up! We got the giant poseable spider shown in the photo above.
I did ask one of the employees why these weren’t available to pick up online. He said that when their in-store stock gets down to a certain amount, it does that in case their counts are off. So I would suggest checking your local store for these items if that ever happens to you.
