When I first started blogging, I met a group of people that I started talking to on Skype. Many of these girls, I consider very dear friends and I chat with them daily. We share the good, the bad and the ugly. My “Skype Girls” are always there for me and have helped me through many, many things over the years. I don’t consider them “online friends”, they are my real friends. I love these girls to death.
So when I was selected to participate in the Mars BOO Bags shopportunity, I knew without a doubt who I would select. While I would have loved to give one to each and every one of these wonderful ladies, I could only select one. It felt only right to select my friend that has been through a rough year and will be having a baby this week! I thought she could could definitely use a nice little surprise right about now!
I headed to Walmart to start my journey to find Snickers {my fav candy!} and other goodies to fill my “Boo Bag” with.
During my shopping trip, I came across a ton of goodies. The candy selection at Walmart is just insanely huge! There is a full aisle {both sides} just filled with nothing but candy and other treats for Halloween. This selection is in a completely different area than all of the other Halloween stuff. It was easy for me to find though, since this is the store I shop at most for groceries.
Before long, my cart was pretty full. I bought some candy, but wanted to include other things for her and the kids too. I grabbed some activity books, straws and pencils for the kids. Of course when I passed the baby aisle, I just couldn’t resist the monkey sleeper for the new baby since monkeys are her favorite thing! I came across the fall kitchen towels and stuck one in the cart for her too. Of course I had to get a bag and stuff to decorate it with too!
These are all the goodies I included and the finished “Boo Bag”. I sure hope her family loves all of the treats!
I even decorated the box that I took to the post office! Isn’t it cute?
This is the very first time that I have even heard of “Boo Bags”. I thought it was so much fun to shop for my friend and will actually be making up small little “Boo Bags” to drop on my neighbors doorstep. Maybe I can create a new tradition in our little neighborhood. It sure sounds like fun!
