So, we have our goals set, we are keeping track and have stuck to our goals so far. What happens when you have a bad day, week or month? It is so easy to slip back into old habits and decide it just isn?t worth it. My advice for you comes from the classic Ginger Rogers/Fred Astaire movie Swing Time:
Don’t lose your confidence if you slip,

And pick yourself up,
Dust yourself off,
Start all over again.
(Don?t you all just picture Fred and Ginger breaking into song and dance right now, or is that just me? If you have NOT seen this classic movie, run and find a copy!)
We all have busy lives, especially as mothers. We drive carpool, make lunches, fold laundry, and scrub toilets. It can often be exhausting to just THINK about all that you have to do in a day. I know that there are days where I just try not to think about it because it will overwhelm me. In all of this crazy, busyness, we are bound to slip up and miss a workout, two or twenty. What happens when you do? Just as the song says, ?Pick yourself up, Dust yourself off, Start all over again.?
Starting ALL over again, may not be necessary, especially if you only missed one or two workouts. In that case you can simply pick up where you should have been. If you get a month or so behind, assess your fitness and just move one.
The secret is to not dwell on your failings, but celebrate your accomplishments and get back to work!
