I grew up with NERF, the slogan “It’s Nerf or nothin!” began advertising in the 1990s and it seemed that everyone had a NERF gun. There were NERF wars (of course at the time there was only the bright foam guns) and NERF sneak attacks, even in school. You could be sitting there, minding your own business and someone comes out of no where and shoots you with a foam dart shouting, “NERF ATTACK!” In fact when I was in my twenties hanging out at a data center one day waiting on a friend to get off of work someone shot me with a NERF dart the same way. NERF has been around for a long, long time.
NERF had opened wide its doors to the creation of super soakers a long time ago and so as time went on they got bigger and better. Now they have the NERF Super Soaker Thunderstorm Blaster, an automatic water shooting machine that shoots up to 25 feet without pumping! I’m sure some of you remember how we used to have to pump the super soakers, leaving time for someone to ambush you if you ran out of water. Not anymore! Now you just push a trigger and BOOM, you just soaked your opponent! Ha! This is really fun when you can sneak up on your kids.
The Thunderstorm Blasters are really great fun, but don’t get too close to the 25 foot power stream! They require 4 AA batteries (that are not included) and they provide endless summer fun entertainment. Just watch out for the sneaky shooters that come up behind you!
It’s amazing to see how far NERF has come in 40 years and to be able to share in the fun. These Thunderstorm Blasters are sure to be an awesome toy this summer and you just cannot go wrong with NERF toys when looking for gifts for kids; from the youngest of them to the oldest, even adults: “It’s NERF or nothin'”.
