Summer is in full swing and so is the miserable heat. The past week we have had temps of around 106 degrees most of the week in Wichita, KS. I thankfully have been in Michigan where we have had balmy temps of 80! Summer has just begun so I doubt us Kansans have seen the worst of it yet.
As many people know from my previous reviews, my husband works outdoors as a lineman for the power company. They try not to work the guys too hard when we experience temperatures like this. With that being said though, hot temperatures cause transformers to blow left and right and no matter how hot it is the guys have to go fix the problems and restore the electricity. When you work in that kind of heat doing a physical job like climbing power poles it is crucial to stay hydrated.
