I decided to try Halo Bars as a replacement for candy bars because the packaging spoke to me in the way a snickers bar might resting next to the check out lane. Yes, I am a sugar addict! And the last thing this sugar addict Mommy needed was her children to inherent the unhealthy addiction.
Halo Bars are certified organic, only 150 calories, low in sugar, vegan, dairy free, packed with Omega 3 & 6 vitamins and just plain yummy! They are the same size and appearance of a granola bar and/or candy bar and satisfied the craving just as well. Where most granola bars I’ve seen have statements of being healthy, they’re ingredients tell another tale. Judah loves granola bars so the Halo Bars’ Honey Graham was a more healthy alternative for him. Cody loves junk food and probably would have devoured all of the Halo Smores Bars if given a chance, with marshmallows, chocolate, graham crackers and oats they are pretty irresistible! But oh sweet heaven I loved the Rocky Road. Made from most of the same ingredients as the other bars, the marshmallow, chocolate, oats and peanut-y goodness just hit the spot.
