Kraft Macaroni & Cheese has been the favorite food of children since I was young and in love with its cheesy goodness. It is a staple food in my house that has its personal spot in the cabinet. I use it as a side dish, as a mixed dish and even use it for casseroles! My children love Kraft Macaroni & Cheese and although I never have a problem with getting them to eat vegetables, the new Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Veggie Pasta made with wheat & cauliflower flour seemed like a wonderful alternative to the original. With a 1/2 serving of cauliflower per cup of product, baked right into the macaroni, it helps to make sure my kids get a portion of their daily recommended vegetables. Also it uses less butter and more milk in the directions which assists in making the macaroni & cheese in a healthier way.

At first I was a little concerned about how it would taste. While I was cooking I could tell the difference in scents as the macaroni boiling in the pot gave off the lingering smell of cauliflower flour, but the moment it hit the plate it was greeted with a very happy toddler. The taste is only slightly different and was only noticeable to me, my two boys devoured theirs without recognizing anything out of the ordinary about the pasta. This made me realize how amazing this would be for children that absolutely refuse to eat vegetables. You could sneak it to them baked right into the noodles! Overall I think it’s a wonderful product, it’s healthier than its original and also comes in Three Cheese! Delicious.
