Birds and Bees Campaign to Raise Awareness about Fertlity Issues

Many women spend most of their early 20s trying to avoid an unwanted pregnancy because of careers, college and the desire to have more fun before settling down. Well, what would we do if the time came to settle down and try, and we were unsuccessful? We?re sharing the facts on how to potentially increase the chances of getting pregnant (when the time is right) and what to do if there happens to be any issues preventing a couple getting pregnant ? 1 in 8 couples have issues ? more common than many think.

When I read this it was difficult to imagine. As both of my children were surprise babies, it is hard to think of what it would have felt like to plan out when to have a child and then realize after months or years of trying… that it isn’t so easy as it seemed.

The Birds and Bees Campaign is to raise awareness about these fertility issues. I know many women with their own that feel ashamed and they don’t know where they can go for help. I loved that this campaign spun what would at first seem like a tragedy into something light-hearted and natural. It is trying to spread the word not only to give everyone the information they need to know where to go, but also showing that it’s not so abnormal and for those men and women who have fertility issues, the ability to laugh through their videos and have a commonplace with other men and women who face the same things.

Whether you or someone you know has fertility issues, share this page and get the word out to those that do. Make their day with a funny video and inform people of what options they have available to them so they can get started on having the family they have always wanted. The Birds and Bees Campaign is not only the story about a 30 something married couple and their journey into parenthood, but a place with informative links to where want-to-be parents can go to find answers. We’re all different and the challenges we face are as well, but the things worth having in life always take a little effort. Take the first step and be informed.
