It’s been a very long and busy weekend. We closed on the house Friday and got in there to start work at about 2 or 3 pm. After 3 long days of being there for about 8-12 hours each time {and help from friends/family} we have every bedroom upstairs, the hallway, upstairs bathroom, kitchen and living room painted. We ran into some problems in the front part of the house where our computer room and bedroom is, so they had to tear down the walls and ceiling to redo it all. Most of that is framed out and some is drywalled.
We moved a cabinet type thing so that the stove and refrigerator can go in it’s place, and found quite a surprise when we opened up the wall!
Thanks to our awesome current neighbors, we got all of that taken car of the right way and when it’s all done you’ll never be able to tell there was a big hole in the wall exposing the old exterior wall! Now I’m just wondering how old this house really is. I need to look into it more, because I think it may be one of the original lake cottages. We found an ancient bathroom turned closet. I’ll have to take pictures of that today!
