“With flipflop wines, we have embraced the movement toward individualistic expression, instead of manufacturing wines into some cookie-cutter style that’s all the rage. Our goal is to craft expressive, well-balanced wines that evoke just what the grapes inside intended, without being over-wrought or over-explained, and that can be enjoyed at any occasion.“
I am always excited to try a new wine so I was happy when I was given the opportunity to try flipflop wines. I tend to be the type of person that once I find something I like I stick with it. I hate buying new wines because I am not very educated on the various types of wines therefore never know what is dry and what isn’t.
I was sent 3 different wines; Pinot Noir, Pinot Grigio and lastly Riesling. The Riesling was definitely my favorite of the 3 but Riesling is my favorite of all wines anyways. The Pinot Grigio was also very good and can see myself drinking that more often. I personally am not a fan of dry wines so I did not really care for the Pinot Noir but I don’t care for any dry wines period. My husband also is not a dry wine kind of person but actually liked the Pinot Noir.
I was really impressed with the flipflop wines and one of my favorite things about this brand is that they actually put on the label whether it is a sweet, semi-sweet or dry wine. I am not a wine connoisseur and hate going to the wine store. I stand there in front a sea of wines and never know what to pick aside from the wines that I know I already like. Not only do they tell you what category the wine is in but they also put on there what food it pairs well with. Finally a wine company has read my mind! These wines are also a downright frugal choice at $7 a bottle! I love a great bargain.
Not only does flipflop wines make an awesome wine and make choosing one simple, they also are a company that believes in giving back to the community. They have partnered with Soles4Souls, the international shoe charity dedicated to providing free footwear to those in need. For every bottle of flipflop wine purchased, Soles4Souls will distribute a pair of shoes to someone in need.
