June has finally arrived with the sweet scents of summer; school is coming to a close, vacations are being planned and Father’s Day 2011 is just around the corner. If you are like me you are trying to figure out what to get your Father(s) and Husband for their special day and if you are a lot like me then you are trying to figure out what in the world to get them this year that they haven’t already gotten? I have three very special men in my life: my Dad, my Step-Father and my Husband. So it gets interesting.

I love personal gifts, something that emits the emotions I am so overwhelmed with: Love, Thankfulness, Appreciation etc. So when given the chance to review an item from Red Envelope I chose “Story of a Lifetime”, a book that takes all of your most precious memories and collects them in a beautifully bound story. There is nothing more special in the world that I felt I could give the men who had given me the most precious and priceless memories than the story of how their roads had led to my sons. We could each share pieces and pass the stories to them that they may have something to carry with them all their lives and pass on to their own children.

With over 300 pages, a Family Tree, places for memoirs, childhood memories, traditions, marriage, children and my Husband and I’s grandparent years to come it will take us all quite some time to fill it out. I left all the places for stories of my Father and other open areas for other stories for them so that they could all share in this amazing heirloom. It is certainly a special gift that will be treasured through our lives and the lives of the generations after us.
