NAP, Inc.’s mission is to provide comfortable and durable baby carriers to parents throughout the world and give them a helping hand in raising confident, joyful and compassionate children. We hope to enhance the bond between mother and child by enabling both to be close and connected to each other in a practical yet magical sort of way.
From the get go I want to make it absolutely clear that I am not trying to force baby wearing on anyone. I am a firm believer in doing what works for you as a parent, so this may not be your cup of tea. However, baby wearing has been around as long as us humans and moms today are lucky little ducks to have things like the Boba Carrier to help. Who hasn’t carried their child thinking ‘Oh my baaack!’? This carrier can carry your child up to 45 pounds! All of the weight sits on your hips, so you back is feeling fine.
With my older son, I used other carriers, specifically the one that is the long piece of fabric that you wrap around you to create the carrier. I was never good at that and never got it tight enough. I just ended up selling it on Craigslist. We also used the tried and true staple carrier that has been around since my nieces were babies and that was okay. My husband would wear it but it was a total pain to get into, not to mention getting the baby into it. Finally, I thought I had found the end-all-be-all in baby carriers and used that one with my son. It’s still in great shape so I figured it would be wonderful to use this time as well.
Until (cue drum roll…) I met the Boba. THIS carrier is leaps and bounds above any carrier I have ever used in my life! The Organic Boba in chestunt color is lighter, easier and less cumbersome that every carrier/wrap that I have used in the past. It has breathable fabric and there’s just less of it to get in the way. It seems streamlined and even the hood and straps have their own straps to tuck them away. In fact, my husband said ‘Now THIS one I can wear’ once he saw me take it out of the box. No such luck though as I love it so much I want to be the one that gets to wear it!!

There are also a couple of features that the other carriers just don’t have. First are the foot stirrups. These are great if your little one would like to relax his legs in these instead of letting them hang. Second are the super awesome stretchy bands that can keep the excess strap out of your way and it’s so easy to wrap it around and keep your carrier looking less ‘strappy’. Third, it has a really nice way of keeping the hood cover rolled up and there are these heavy duty hair band type things on each side of the roll that will keep it nice and tidy when not in use. I know one of my biggest pet peeves with the other carrier was that the hood never stayed in the pocket and I was forever tucking it back in. You can even remove the hood completely by unsnapping it. Otherwise, I just leave it in so it offers a little pillow for one of the guys.

Overall, I give this lightweight, awesome carrier two thumbs way up. If you’re looking, please go check this one out. They really are above the rest and my only regret was that I didn’t discover the Boba until now!
