Our yard is tiny, and boy do I mean tiny. We have kids and there are 4 dogs total, so our lawn takes a serious beating. In the 5 years that we have lived here, we have done so much to help that yard and nothing works. We even laid down new sod in the entire yard our second year here!
Recently, I had the chance to try Scott’s Turf Builder, which is a lawn fertilizer. Unlike many other fertilizers on the market, Scott’s Turf Builder is kid and pet friendly. So after use, I didn’t have to worry about keeping everyone out of the yard for a long period of time.
Scott’s Turf Builder is safe to use on any grass type and should be applied every 6-8 weeks during any season.
We used the Scott’s Turf Builder about a week ago and we can already see a difference. Our grass seems to be growing better and thicker. Of course our yard doesn’t look the greatest, but that’s because of the size and traffic flow through it. I can definitely tell the difference though, and without the fertilizer, we would have much less actual grass.
Scott’s Turf Builder is really easy to apply. We actually have a spreader, so we didn’t have to go out and buy one or improvise. I definitely recommend one when doing lawn work such as this because it makes the whole job easier and less messy. After application, we simply watered the lawn and let Mother Nature do her thing!
