A Look At the House - Rustic Charm On a Lake!

Well I promised lots of pictures, but I lied. Well I guess it wasn’t so much a lie as it was just simply not having time for picture taking. I wanted to get a bunch, but I suppose it just wasn’t in the cards.

Here’s the front of the house. It totally has a cottage feel to it and the stonework is all original to the house. It was at one time just a small little lake cottage. That’s before it grew into this gorgeous 2200 square foot house with a rustic look featuring a lot of the original wood work. It does need quite a bit of work, but remodeling will be fun! We can make it our own that way, which is really great!

This beautiful fireplace in the family room is my favorite feature in the house.It’s just breathtaking and goes with the whole rustic feel of the house.

Here’s the view into the family room. Isn’t it huge! It’s just perfect for our big family!

Here’s Lil Man in the family room by the windows that look out to the lake. The view is amazing!

Then we have Big Bro in the bedroom he wants to claim as his own.

Of course I couldn’t leave out the pier! The house is across the street from the lake, so the lake isn’t in our backyard so to speak. But as soon as you walk out of it, you walk down a lot to the pier.

We are all very excited and June can’t some soon enough! Lil Man has been against moving from the beginning and last night he was starting to show the first signs of excitement. I am so glad, because this whole process of every little life changing thing that we have been experiencing is really hard on him. But he’s starting to come around and it’s just great!

Once we are able to get in there and start remodeling, I will be sure to share many more pictures. I plan to share the whole journey with you all so you won’t miss a thing! Stay tuned for our remodeling journey in June!
