What Irish girl doesn’t love St. Patrick’s Day? Okay, you don’t need to be Irish to love a good ole’ St. Patrick’s Day celebration. My kids (who wear uniforms to school) can’t wait for the dress down in green day and the big party at school. My daughter even gets to perform her Irish dancing at the school assembly. She is so excited! Enough…on to today’s craft project….and what an easy one it is. I made these for all the teachers at the kids school. I wasn’t sure how many kids would like Junior Mints and we are not suppose to bring in candy for the kids (no fun).
You could do with any candy….I do this a lot with candy bars for birthdays.
I chose a St. Patrick’s pattern paper from my left over scraps. I cut the piece down to 4 1/2 x 5 1/4 inches. Just make sure you measure what every you plan on covering first. I like the ends to stick out a little.
I scored the paper at 1/2, 2 3/8, 3 1/8 and 5 inches. You don’t need to score the paper, but I find it easier to fold and secure the paper to candy.
I applied 1/4 inch score tape to each end and adhered the paper to the box of Junior Mints.
