I’d like to introduce you all to the great new writers that joined my team here at Outnumbered 3 to 1. These ladies are all absolutely wonderful and I just know you’re going to love them! Each of the ladies has something great to contribute here and they’ve each written a short introduction of themselves. Please take a moment to check out what they have to say. Don’t forget to leave a comment welcoming them!
Meet Farrah who will be doing reviews. She has twin baby boys and a 2 year old boy. She knows just how I feel being an outnumbered mama herself! She also writes at The Three Under, so make sure to check her out!
I am a 35 year old mom living in my own Outnumbered world! I have a two year old and three month old twins. All boys. I think my training and experience as a 9th grade teacher have really helped me prepare for this insanity! I taught in the years leading up to having my first son, and I have been home since. Just like the rest of us I have good days, bad days, and ?epic fail? days as a SAHM.
I consider myself a hybrid-mom of sorts. Finding a balance is what makes life work within our crazy family, so we take things that we like and tailor them to fulfill our needs. For example- we cloth diaper, but also use disposables. I breastfeed, but also supplement. We didn?t cosleep, but we did share our room with the twins up until last week. I feel that we all have an opportunity to do things that enhance our own parenting styles which can be (and should be) as unique as our children. I don?t think it is fair to judge anyone else for the way that they do things. I?m really excited to contribute to this blog and hopefully encourage moms (and dads) to do what works for them. I want to find products to recommend (and giveaway) that will help make life easier!
Meet Amanda who will be contributing a weekly recipe post and reviews. She has 2 boys ages 2 and 13 so she’s another outnumbered mama! Amanda shares her great writing style at inRandom. Go show her some love!
My name is Amanda. I’m a 30 year old Homemaker and Stay at Home mom of two beautiful (insane) boys, 13 and 2. I’ve been married to my high-school obsession for almost 3 years and he still makes me feel like a giddy 15 year old girl. I fancy myself a writer and have been blogging or writing articles for websites for almost 11 years. I was a single career Mom turned married home Mom so I’ve had the best of both worlds. Currently I spend most of my time singing Sesame Street for my 2 year old.
I started baking when I was 11 and cooking scratch at 12. I come from a line of women that took great pride in the ability to cook from scratch and woe to the woman who used boxed mashed potatoes! I love playing in my kitchen. I love the feel of a smooth aged wooden rolling pin and the burn in my wrist after whisking. I love the smell of the sun on ripe fruits plucked from the farmers market and the first taste, the very first taste of a meal cooked with love that I can take pride in. In my family my great, great Grandmother’s one handled rolling pin was revered as the symbol of the woman chosen out of her sisters to be the best cook. I was blessed to be given it on Christmas of 2006 passed down from my Mother and her Mother and so on. I’m very excited and honored to have been picked amongst the other fine writers to share reviews and a weekly recipe with you!
Meet Ashley who will be sharing weekly deals and reviews. She doesn’t have children, but loves her fur babies! She also blogs at Become a Coupon Queen where she shares awesome deals. Maybe I’ll even learn some coupon tricks from her and if you read her blog, then you will too!
My name is Ashley. I grew up in a very small town in Michigan where I had a graduating class of like 35. It is the type of town where everyone knows everyone. I married my high school sweetheart who I have known since early grade school. He is a few years older than me and rode my school bus in elementary school. I remember thinking he was a complete jerk. It is funny how we grow up and your whole perspective of things change and you fall madly in love with the “jerk” on your school bus.
My husband and I really had plans of settling down and living out our entire lives in the area we grew up. Somewhere along the way we grew restless and bored with our lives and on a whim decided we were ready to pack up and head out to see the rest of the world. We ended up in Kansas city, MO and stayed there for 2 1/2 years. During that time I put my husband through college and after he graduated in May 2010 he was offered a job in Wichita, KS so we packed up and moved again last September. So here we are in Kansas now. Some day we plan to move again to possibly Idaho or maybe New Mexico. I actually enjoy moving. I love the adventure of it all; meeting new people, seeing new places and exploring our new surroundings. My family thinks I am crazy but we love our adventurous life.
I have 3 very spoiled dogs and 2 fat kitties. I am very feminine but not afraid to get dirty. I love to do “guy” things like go fishing, ride 4-wheelers, hunting with my husband and camping. I like to collect weird things like buttons and rocks. I love house plants, taking pictures and cooking. My high heels are my best friend and I feel naked without mascara! I am also a civil cad technician on a hiatus. I found myself jobless due to my recent move so with my husband’s prompting and encouragement I finally decided to take on the role of blogger which I absolutely love. I discovered the power of coupons while trying to make ends meet when I was the sole bread winner while my husband attended college. I love sharing my good deals and giving people the knowledge to cut their grocery bills in half. I grew up with my parents barely making ends meet most of the time and they had to be very frugal out of necessity so it is a way of life for me that has followed into my adulthood. You could give me a millon dollars and I would still use coupons and only buy off of the clearance racks.
Meet Jill who will be sharing a weekly craft project and reviews. She has twin 7 year old daughters and a 9 year old boy so we’ll see some girl stuff in the mix around here now! Jill does book reviews at Seaside Book Nook and maintains a crafty blog at Peace, Love & Scrapbooking. Stop by one {or both} and check her out!
I am Jill from western NY. I absolutely love crafts and have been crafting since I was 8 years old. I am an accountant by day and use the other side of my brain at night! I love to make cards and scrapbooks, create paper projects, knitting, cross-stitching and reading. I wish I had more time to “play” with my projects, but real life comes first. My crafting blog is www.peaceandscrapbooking.blogspot.com and my book review blog is www.seasidebooknook.blogspot.com. I would love for you to become a follower and leave me comments. I love sharing with others all the things I stumble across! I have been married to my wonderful husband for 16 years. I have three children, one son and twin daughters.
