Friday night the Man found out that there was a bonus hunt, so he decided we would head up to the farm Saturday afternoon. It was an awesome spontaneous adventure that couldn’t have come at a better time. I have been extremely stressed out lately, and I totally needed a break.
It started snowing a few hours after we got there, and just seemed to come so fast all at once. We decided to go outside to shovel and play in the snow. Here’s one of the big snowballs everyone made.
The evening was fun and relaxing. Until of course the power went out… and stayed out! Living in the city, the kids really weren’t used to that so they were a bit freaked out. No worries though because we had flashlights, candles and a fire place. We all congregated in the living room to sleep and stayed warm all night until the power came back on in the wee hours of the morning.
We woke up to this absolutely breathtaking winter wonderland!
Here’s the even bigger snowball we made last night! It was almost as tall as the Man and he stands about 5’11”! We all pushed and shoved with all of our might until we couldn’t push any longer. I would have loved to have been able to get a head on that thing, but it was way too big!
We found some snow shoes in the closet and my silly brother thought he could run in them. Well he soon found out that it wasn’t possible!
