We had an appointment at 9am this morning for Lil Man to get surgery on his arm. He had to get a rod through it.
Everything went well for the most part. However, they tried to put an IV in after he was asleep and couldn’t get a vein. The poked and prodded, finally finding one in his foot. Poor kiddo. I have the same problem having tiny veins and I really never thought anything of it. I didn’t think that something like that could be hereditary. Then on the way home, my sister said she’s the same way. That’s just crazy! What a crappy thing to pass on! “Here honey, we’re not loaded with money to pass on to you, but have some tiny veins.” Whatever!
He’s fine now though. He got over the freakiness of waking up to pin pricks all over his arm and hand. He’s resting on the couch, bummed because that’s all he can do when he really wanted a night to play WoW with dad. He’ll get over it I suppose. And I’m sure he’ll clonk out soon. Thanks for all the prayers 🙂
