Holiday stuff is out everywhere now, but it’s still so hard to believe that Christmas is just over a month away. It seems like it snuck up so fast and this past year has just flown by!
Sam’s Club has everything covered for the holidays this year. They’ve got some amazing food items for one. I know this for a fact because I got to sample a ton of it while I was in Arkansas this past September. I bet I gained 10 pounds in the three days I was there because they just kept stuffing our faces! Hey, I’m not complaining though. It was delish!
Food isn’t all they have at Sam’s Club though. They have great gift sets and holiday decorations too. In fact, Sam’s Club has a whole Holidays Made Simple guide where you can find great resources, holiday items and decor as well as find out about events going on. Sam’s Club stores have everything you need to create this beautiful tree shown above, along with many more different themes and colors. In fact, I went shopping to buy all the trimmings to create one just like it!
During this week’s “Taste of Sam’s Club” event (starts on Friday and ends on Sunday) there will be Trim-A-Tree demonstration workshop for members to learn affordable and creative decorating tips on personalizing their trees and homes for the holidays. Each member will receive a complimentary 20 page booklet?while supplies last.
With the list of supplies on hand and step by step directions, My sister and I tried our best to create a “Traditional Holiday Tree” just like the one shown above.
I changed up the ribbon a bit on my tree because my store was out of the ones needed for this tree, but it did turn out similar and seems “traditional” to me with the red, green and gold color scheme. Here’s what I used for my tree.
1 roll of Christmas Green Mesh – 535721
2 rolls of coordinating ribbon – 868578
1 box tree picks – 635696
1 round tub of ball ornaments – 584633
You can easily make any of the trees yourself too with the Holiday How-To Guide! There are step by step directions to make a number of gorgeous holiday trees!
My favorite part of decorating this tree was knowing that in the end, this tree will be going to someone in need. Sam’s Club is generously donating all of the trees that the bloggers have decorated to local charities in our communities! I’ll update you later on with a list of the charities!
Sam’s Club has created a Trim-A-Tree Facebook App where you can see all of the trees decorated by the bloggers. You can also vote for your favorite tree! I hope you’ll consider choosing mine, it’s the 4th one.
Wait, there’s more!
I’m also holding an “Unfortunate Christmas Tree” contest where one lucky entrant will win a Christmas tree with all of the trimmings to be determined and provided by the Sponsor with an ARV of $300.
