Garfield has been a classic since I was a kid. It was totally one of my favorite shows and I watched it religiously. I loved Garfield of course, especially because I once had a cat that looked a lot like him in the feline instead of cartoon form.
However, as much as I loved Garfield, Odie was my favorite character of the show! I just learned now that Garfield first appeared as a comic strip in 1978 and was later animated for TV specials and a regular series. That’s the year I was born. Wow, do I feel old! So I suppose Garfield has been around for as long as I have, 32 years!
The fun-filled ?The Garfield Show: Odie Oh!? DVD contains six segments and they are all hilarious! I laughed my butt off just like i did when i was a little kid!
This picture here of Odie totally reminds me of my own dopey dog, Gunner. He gets that same silly look and all!
With the way that animation and cartoons have changed over the years, I really didn’t expect my kids to get into The Garfield Show: Odie Oh all that much. I was pleasantly surprised though when they sat down and watched it with me from beginning to end and laughed just as much {if not more} than I did!
