Yesterday was Lil Man’s first Dr appointment since his surgery last week. His doctor was actually out sick, so we had to wait quite awhile and be seen by his nurse.
They did new x-rays and she sad it all looks good. They took the splint off so that they could put another cast on. I about dies when I saw how many stitches he got! After surgery, the Dr came out to talk to me in the waiting room. he said they made two small incisions in his arm to get the rod it.
His idea of small sure the hell isn’t small, let me tell you! Each cut is 2 – 3 inches long! If I’d have had my camera in my purse, I would have taken pictures. I asked the nurse and she said it’s because they had trouble getting the fracture to go back together, so they had to go inside. Well, why didn’t the Dr tell me that on the day of surgery then? Honestly, I’m a little bit upset. My kid had two huge incisions, which will be nasty scars and no one bothered to say anything until I saw it? That’s just wrong if you ask me.
Anyway, enough whining. Here he is with his cast, another blue one. He doesn’t want anything to do with another color!
