Vehicle maintenance is a must for the life of your vehicle. If you don’t do regular routine maintenance, it’s really not going to last as long as it should. Not to mention, other things can go wrong if you don’t maintain it properly. That of course leads to added expenses in caring for your car or truck and can be quite expensive.
More and more people are aiming to get more life out of their vehicles. I’m sure that’s largely in part to these tough economic times that many of us are going through. Really though, what’s wrong with that? Absolutely nothing, I say! While a nice shiny vehicle is nice to have, there’s nothing at all wrong with getting the most out of your vehicle and hanging on to it.
You’re not along in wanting to keep your ride alive. A 2010 Jiffy Lube International survey revealed that drivers hope they can keep their vehicles longer. Here’s a few results from that survey.
- More than half of U.S. drivers hope to hit more than 150,000 miles on their vehicle before replacing it
- More than a quarter are looking to clock in more than 250,000 miles before throwing in the towel
- Services: While 99% of drivers agree getting their oil changed regularly will help prolong its life, most are looking for additional services during their oil change visits to help keep their ride alive
- Convenience: Nine in 10 people agree having other key vehicle parts and fluids checked during their regular oil change is the most convenient way for them to maintain their vehicle’s value and longevity
- Speed: More than half of U.S. drivers (59%) agree it is important to have their oil change finished in 30 minutes or less
The Jiffy Lube Signature Service? Oil Change is more than just an oil change. It is a preventive maintenance program that includes changing, inspecting, checking/filling and cleaning key vehicle parts and fluids, offering drivers a quick and convenient way to maintain their vehicle’s value and longevity.
Jiffy Lube recently launched a “Keeping My Ride Alive” Facebook page to help consumers who would like to attain high mileage on their vehicles. You can cruise the site and hear stories from other people who drive high mileage vehicles and even check out photos. You can share your own stories too!
