Mother’s Day is just around the corner. In fact, it’s only 4 days away! I think it snuck up pretty quick this year. But believe it or not, this year I’m actually prepared! I got my Mother’s Day shopping done on Friday, before we went out of town.
My friend and I headed out to Sam’s Club in search of a Mother’s Day gift. The trick you ask? I had $40 budget that I had to stay within! As usual, I forgot my camera, so I don’t have many pictures to share. However, there were so many great gift ideas. I couldn’t believe it. Right when we walked in, to the left was an area with live plants and flowers. They had hibiscus flowers, small flower and plants gardens and this beautiful keepsake box with plants and flowers in it. I was so tempted to get one of those. They were all priced so reasonably too. In fact for under $20 I think I’ll be going back to get a hibiscus for me since silly me left mine outside through the long cold winter.
Of course there was jewelry to choose from too. Sam’s Club has a really great selection and I have swooned over their jewelry quite a few times myself. This gorgeous necklace is only $39! There was also a whole cut flower section with gorgeous bouquets of flowers. You could even buy really nice vases too for super cheap. I think they were around $6.
There was a huge assortment of books too, including cookbooks and gardening books. I also saw some beautiful scrap books that would make a perfect Mother’s Day gift. The garden section had a couple of neat things too.
Of course we just had to hit the food section and since it was Friday, there were samples galore! Talking to one of the ladies running a sample station, we found out they do it every weekend! There was some pretty good food laid out for us to try. In fact there was so much, my friend joked that we should go back for lunch this Friday! There was this delicious strawberry cream cake that I was really tempted to buy for part of my mom’s gift too.
So what did I get my mom for Mother’s Day? Well since she doesn’t read my blog, I suppose I can tell!
I went totally practical this year and got her an outfit. Hey, moms need new clothes too! And my mom is one of those people that doesn’t buy herself clothes often, so it was the perfect gift I think. I know she’ll just love it, especially the shirt! The design on top is all beaded, it’s actually really cute!
If you’re on the lookout for Mother’s Day gifts on a budget I definitely suggest checking out Sam’s Club. Scroll down just a little bit and you’ll see the Mother’s Day Gifts section. Or stop by and shop at your local Sam’s Club. I noticed all of the flowers and plants that I saw in the front of the store are not available online.
I do have to add this in too, which really impressed us both. My friend had photos to develop and she asked if they could have them done by the time we were ready to leave in about 20-30 minutes. They said yes, but of course we were a bit sceptical wondering if they really would be done that fast. Well they were! We couldn’t believe it. Way to go Sam’s Club!
Sam’s Club provided me with a $40 gift card for my participation in this campaign from April 26th through May 24th
