As many of you know, my family went to Wisconsin Dells about 2 weeks ago. We stayed at Great Wolf Lodge for the entire weekend and had a blast! Great Wolf Lodge has water parks and activities for the whole family to enjoy, young and old alike with 11 locations across the country.
I love to have fun. Add some water, and it gets even better. I certainly felt like a kid again splashing around in the water parks!
We arrived on Friday around 4 pm. {You can actually check in around noon and play in the water parks until check in time or your room is ready.} Of course, after a long drive {thanks to rain and traffic} we hung out in the hotel room for some time before we went on our venture for fun.
Here’s a partial view of our room. There’s a sofa sleeper on the other side of that wall and another bed where I’m standing to take the picture. It’s really cool how the rooms are decorated to feel like you’re in a cabin of sorts. The headboards, tables, chairs and the wall were all made out of real wood. We also had a private balcony which overlooked one of the indoor water parks.
Once we ventured downstairs to the water park areas, the kids found fun in the lazy river, one of the pools with {fake} logs and ropes to help you get across and a couple of water slides. Then it was time for me to have fun right along with them, so the camera went in the bag! I apologize for the low quality of the photos. I borrowed my brother in law’s camera and I had issues with the indoor settings.
We went on a whole bunch of slides, the Howlin’ Tornado {which I’ll have pictures of in the next post} and played around in the wave pool and Fort Mackenzie.
Pretty soon we all started to get hungry so we went up to our room and ordered Pizza Hut, which was right in the hotel. How convenient is that?! They offer a couple of other restaurants too.
