Summer is about half way through and so far so good on keeping my girls entertained and having fun. We have still kept up our weekly board game night ritual and have turned our rainy afternoons and now Saturday evenings into board game time as well. My girls could play the same games over and over but my husband and I like to change it up and have some variety in our games. The latest hits for our household include award-winning games from?Marbles The Brain Store. Sock Puppet Charades and Tugie are great because they are unique and really get your mind working!
Newcomer?Sock Puppet Charades?is a classic game of charades but with sock puppets and small props. This imagination-bending game will have your family howling with laughter, while?engaging social intelligence, manual coordination, and creativity.
I found it down right hilarious to watch my husband work these puppets using small props to act out the cards. I could not stop laughing! This game is rated 8+ because the player needs to be able to read the card to act it out with sock puppets.
It includes:
- two sock puppets
- one 60-second sand timer
- a bag of props (one blue cloth, a circular piece, a large square, a small square, a glass piece, a dowel, a small spool, and a yellow pipe cleaner)
- one score pad
- 200 Charades cards
In Tugie, players take turns rolling the die to see which color piece you need to tug from the Tugie Tower. Be careful because if any pieces fall while you tug, you must keep them and they count as points against you. The player with the least amount of fallen pieces at the end of the game wins.?This is a game of balance and precision that will help develop fine motor coordination. I discovered my husband is really good at this game and that surprised me!
Tugie is a Parents’ Choice Gold Award Winner and Sock Puppet Charades is a Parents’ Choice “Fun Stuff” Award Winner.?Both games are perfect for kids and adults during the summer vacation months. Marbles The Brain Storeisa specialty’store?with unique, challenging games and activities to help build better?brains, for both adults and kids.
