When it comes to beauty products I am more of a function over looks kind of girl. I want stuff that works. I guess that is why I am in love with Hairstyx from Shaune Bazner because they make beauty and function in one perfectly designed hair tool.
Shaune Bazner began her artistic career as a dancer in the early 70’s. She was always in search of a hair accessory that would hold her hair up securely yet not give her headaches and breakage. Starting with a single pair of chopsticks, she started experimenting. Soon after, she trademarked the shape of the perfect hairstick. What she found most exciting was that these hairsticks held ANY type of hair. This was a breakthrough, especially for women with baby fine hair. No headaches, no breakage. Elegant, comfortable and secure. You can view the many ways to use Mei Fa Hairstyx (meaning “beautiful hair” or “beautiful method” in Chinese) on their website: www.shaunebazner.com
I really want to stress how amazing these Mei Fa Hairstyx look in person. The pair I received are simply gorgeous! You can tell they are made from quality materials and that they are made to last. The set I got even came in a really nice case.
Now before I even tried them I did in fact watch the youtube video on their website just to make sure I was fully understanding how to use them.
Here is the video:
Next up was my turn. Here is how I wore it:
I decided to wear it up for dinner and a basketball game.
Many hours later and I never once had to readjust it. I thought it was super cute and the Hairstyx kept it up all night.
The best part is that with these Mei Fa Hairstyx they cause zero breakage to my hair. I know for me I constantly have my hair ties pulling and breaking my hair while getting caught up in the elastic.
I definitely felt like there was a small learning curve to them. Finding the right way that worked for my hair so that it looked the way I wanted it to. I have extremely long and extremely thick hair so what works for me might not work for you.
Next I want to perfect the half updo like in their picture below:
Overall I find that these Mei Fa Hairstyx to be way cuter than the regular old scrunchie band I usually use to throw up my hair. Since I have a small toddler that constantly pulls my hair and 5 days a week I am at the gym that leaves lots of up dos for me. These Hairstyxs are absolutely adorable and with so many to choose from I really could find a set to go with every outfit.
