No wedding reception is complete without some alcohol to add to the festivities. Since we’re hosting ours in the backyard, I want to keep it as simple as possible. Instead of a traditional “open bar”, we’ve decided to do a few different punches, jello shots, our specialty shot – Apple Pie and just a couple of simple drinks.
Baileys is a perfect marriage of fresh, premium quality Irish dairy cream, finest spirits, Irish whiskey and a proprietary recipe of chocolate flavors.
I’m excited to include Bailey’s Irish Cream in our special day. It happens to be one of my favorites on the rocks, which is how we’ll serve the Mint Chocolate and Caramel. I also wanted to create a specialty drink, which we’ll use the original for. We’re going to serve Dreamsicles which are super easy to make! Simply mix 1 1/2 oz Bailey’s Irish Cream and 3 1/2 oz Orange Juice, stir and serve over ice. Simple, yet delicious!
There are a number of different drink recipes that call for Bailey’s and I’d definitely use many of them if we were going to have an actual bar stocked with liquor. Since we’re not, I’ll just have to try this one at home!
