Choosing a gift for your bridesmaids can pose a bit challenging. This really surprised me because I thought this would be one of the easier choices I’d have to make. Oh, how wrong I was though! However, I fully admit that I probably made this harder on myself than it needs to be. I don’t necessarily want to get them each the same thing. I want something special for each of them; something they will look at and/or use every day instead of being tossed into a closet and forgotten about. I’m also making all of their jewelry, but don’t want that to be their actual “gift”. Yes, I know I’m complicated! So without further ado, here are some tips so hopefully you won’t be in the same predicament that I’m in!
1. Walk in with a set budget so that you don’t over-spend.
2. Think with your heart. What would they like? More than likely something will eventually pop out at you while you’re searching through bridesmaids gifts.
3. Sometimes less is more! You don’t need to get all extravagant.
4. Choose the same gift for each girl in your bridal party. It’s easier this way!
5. Make something! If you are crafty in any way, this is a great idea! Something handmade from you may just be remembered a little more.
6. Buy/Make their jewelry as their Bridesmaid gift! It will save them the expense and they’ll most likely wear it again.
7. If you’re undecided, you can always ask for ideas from one of your bridesmaids or even a close friend. The internet is a great tool to use for all of these questions too!
8. If you’re ever uncertain, trust your gut. Your first instinct is usually the right one, you just have to dig a little deeper to be sure sometimes!
