Scared Panda \| Tees for Good

Sales donation + one scared panda + kid eco-friendly shirts = one happy mama & one stylin’ kiddo!

In 2009, an adorable couple by the names of Clint & Kate started a small t-shirt line out of their Chicago apartment. In the past two years, they have steadily gained notability and a loyal fan base. The “…tees are printed using eco-friendly inks and all of our screen solutions are earth friendly soy, citrus or mineral based,” but for the remainder of 2011, they will donate 10% to their non-profit partner, Growing Home, a Chicago-based non-profit that provides job training and fresh local, organic food to those in need. How awesome is that? You can grab your kids (or yourself, they have plenty in the ways of adult tees too!) a funky, original (only 150 of each tee is printed) shirt, but help out another family this holiday season! That makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside, and that’s not just my coffee talking.

I was able to snag one of the namesake tees for my Sonshine to wear. As you can see, he loves it! The shirts are soft enough, that we did not need an undershirt to act as a barrier on sensitive skin! His first excursion out was apple picking on a muddy day and I’m happy to say, all of the mud and dirt came off the tee without even the smallest stain. The soft heather grey color of the “boys” shirt goes with everything, jeans, khakis and even throwing an open button down on top for chillier days. I think the pink color would go great with a poofy pink skirt and jean jacket in the winter time. (Too bad I don’t have a little girl to try it out on!) And just like they state on their website, everyone loves a scared panda, even a two year old!
