Summer Fun – Pen Pal Kids Club Review & Giveaway! {CLOSED}

Pen Pal Kids Club is one of the most fantastic ideas I’ve seen for children on a social networking basis. More than any social networking site, multi-player game or “Live” chats for kids, Pen Pal Kids offers a sense of safety while encompassing the desire to meet other like-minded peers around the world. My son Cody and I got the chance to review Pen Pal Kids Club, I set up my account through the Parents registry and he set up his through the child’s and then we linked them together. This way I could always see how long he had been logged in, the time and what correspondence he has had with others. Parents can also “Login as the Child” without ever worrying about needing a direct password from their children. With a lot of Social kids networks, you can see certain things but not others; there is no direct access as a parent so you may not know what is going on. This had always been my concern after learning there were adults playing on certain kids multi-player games and so I really like how Pen Pal Kids Club has their system set up. 

Kids have the choice of Finding Penpals, Playing Games, going to the Library or checking their Mailbox. There is also the Club House where you can see or upload videos, exchange postcards and / or check out the Encyclopedia Britannica! The games are educational and it seems that the interests are school related. This was my son’s only complaint as the Hobby’s were more geared towards sports and not many other non-active hobbies such as Video Games; however I said that generally that’s not considered a hobby no more than watching T.V. is considered a hobby. However, he was able to find many, many possible penpals through his interest in cooking and music. It’s easy to send a note to a penpal seeing if they want to friend you back. Each child has their own Avatar and they can change their moods to fit themselves for the day!

Until the end of July the Pen Pal Kids Club is FREE! This is wonderful because it gives you a chance to play around on there and really check it out before deciding if it is something that your child enjoys! The regular price of Pen Pal Kids Club honestly blew my mind, for everything they are offering it is only $4.99 a month. That is it! It’s less expensive than most network gaming memberships, is educational and also, as I said before, very safe! It is such a wonderful value and also an amazing place where you can share with your tweens and teens the excitement of a new friend and the enjoyment of learning about the world around them. We really had a lot of fun with Pen Pal Kids Club and I know that you will too, check it out while it’s free! You’re sure to love to it and possibly be like me, wondering where this was when I was my son’s age!
