We are pretty avid campers. We try to go at least a couple of times every year and we usually have a large group of family and friends. That really makes it so much fun!
Well when you camp, you have to cook. Well I suppose you don’t have to, but camping just wouldn’t be the same if you’re eating fast food the whole time!
I knew the Cast Iron Cookware would be perfect for us because pots and pans are always an issue. I usually take up my old ones, but an outdoor cookware set just for camping would be great!
Well since it’s near winter and we obviously can’t do any camping {darn Wisconsin weather!}, I had to try these out in the house. Of course since they’re cast iron, they are pretty heavy, so you need to be careful. But cooking wise they’re great. The square pan has lines in it, so this would be great for cooking any meat on. The coolest part is the set came with an old time dinner bell. Now instead of screaming across camp when food is ready, I can just use that. So much easier and I’m sure much nicer on everyone’s ears than my loud voice! I’m really excited to use them camping next year!
