About Pine-Sol Cleaning Products:
Original Pine-Sol? Brand Cleaner has been cleaning America’s toughest stains, grease and grime since 1929, its distinctively clean and crisp pine scent letting you know you?re getting the real clean each time you use it.
Pine-Sol? Brand Cleaner was originally created in 1929 ? a year most often remembered for the stock market crash and the start of the Great Depression ? by Harry A. Cole, a chemist from Jackson, Miss. who seized an opportunity in difficult times. Living in the midst of miles of pine forest, Mr. Cole used pine oil, a natural disinfectant and deodorizer, to create a fresh smelling and highly effective cleaning product, which he aptly named Pine-Sol? cleaner.
Pine-Sol? Brand Cleaner, and the subsequent pine oil cleaners Mr. Cole invented, achieved their first successes supplying product to janitorial services that cleaned local banks. Seventeen years later, Pine-Sol? Brand Cleaner expanded distribution outside of Mississippi, and today it remains one of the largest sellers of dilutable cleaners in the world.
I was thrilled when Pin-Sol agreed to be included in this event. After all, along with Spring comes the dreaded Spring cleaning. It seems to me that there is always so much of that to be done come Spring time too. Since I live in the bitter cold state of Wisconsin, we keep everything closed up all winter long. We’d be crazy not to. once the warm weather hit, I immediately started airing out the house.
Anyway, back to the story at hand {Yes, I get sidetracked quite often, I know!} I received a whole line of products from Pine-Sol. When my package arrived, I was quite surprised by how much was in there. I knew there were quite a few different scents of Pine-Sol, but didn’t realize how many!
There are 7 different scents in the Pine-Sol family! Can you believe that? Those seven scents include Original, Lemon Fresh, Orange Energy, Mountain Energy, Lavender Clean, Sparkling Wave and Wild Flower Blast. If you ask me, I think they all smell great. I even like the Original Pine-Sol scent. It’s fresh and clean smelling.
I was at the grocery store earlier today getting stuff for dinner, and when I came home, the man was mopping. It smelled really good throughout the whole house, so I asked what he used and he pointed to the bottle of Lavender Clean Pine-Sol. It’s hard to narrow it down to one favorite, but Lavender Clean is definitely among them.
Since Spring cleaning is such a tedious task so I have some cleaning tips from Linda Cobb, the ?Queen of Clean” to share with you!
? Don?t clean your clutter. Spring is a great time to look through each room and remove things you don?t need or don?t use. By streamlining your housecleaning will be faster and easier. Hold a garage sale to sell unwanted items or donate them.? Trim your product collection. Gather all your cleaning products together and then get rid of what you don?t need. Look for multi-use products that you can use in all the rooms of your house and on many appliances and surfaces, like Pine-Sol? Cleaner, which will save you time and money. It’s not your grandmother’s Pine-Sol? cleaner, now you can even use it on wood.
? Strategize your schedule. Start your spring cleaning in the room that requires the least effort. It will give you a sense of accomplishment and you?ll be ready to tackle another more challenging room.
? Child’s Play. When you tackle the kid’s rooms, don?t try to clean the furniture with furniture polish. Instead, mix ? cup of your favorite Pine-Sol? cleaner with one gallon of water. Wash the furniture down well and then buff with a soft cloth. It will remove spills, sticky residue and will smell great.
? Stay healthy. Germs are everywhere, and those springtime colds can easily be passed through the entire family. To keep your family healthy, dip a micro-fiber cloth in full-strength Original Pine-Sol? Brand Cleaner once a week, and wipe down doorknobs and handles to remove dirt and germs.
? Got dirty laundry? Reach for inexpensive, fast-acting Pine-Sol? Scented Cleaner– it’s a great laundry spotter. Rub in product full-strength on grease spots or heavily soiled areas before washing. Try the Orange Energy fragrance. It even makes the laundry room smell great!
? Fresh start to the day. When you are done in the kitchen and ready to run out the door in the morning, wipe out the sink with a little Pine-Sol Scented Cleaner and then pour a little full strength in the drain. This small move will keep your house smelling fresh all day. I love the Lavender Clean fragrance.
? Lights get dirty too. Wash the globes on overhead light fixtures and dust lightbulbs too; it will make the room look cleaner and brighter.
? Stop Dirt from Spreading. When you are done with your cleaning, don?t forget to clean your vacuum cleaner tools, etc. Just wash in a solution of 1 gallon warm water and ? cup Pine-Sol cleaner. Cleaning with dirty tools will just spread the dirt around.
? Gadgets get grimy. Some of the dirtiest things in your home are things that most people never think of cleaning. Wipe down your remote controls, game controls, docking systems, cell phone, blackberry and iPods with an easy-to make-solution of 1 cup water and 1 tablespoon of Pine-Sol. Wring out a paper towel in the solution and simply wipe – no rinsing necessary. The fresh fragrance of Mountain Energy Pine-Sol makes me want to grab my Wii and get fit! Don’t forget to do the same to your purse and briefcase, which visit so many dirty places every day and land on the kitchen counter!
