I promised you all stories and pictures of our weekend in the Dells. It was a super long weekend and we did alot of stuff, so I’m going to break it down to a few different posts. I thought it was bad being outnumbered 3 to 1 at home, so I gave 6 to 1 a try!
We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge during our stay. They have 3 indoor waterparks as well as an outdoor waterpark. All 3 of the indoor parks are connected, which is really nice and convenient. The lobby has a clock tower that “comes to life” at certain times of the day for Storytime. MagiQuest is the newest addition and features a four story adventure game where you are the star. You really could make a whole vacation there, and never have to leave the hotel.
We hung out and played in the waterparks all day and night Friday, having a blast. Then we went back to our room and ordered pizza and a movie. We watched the new Wolverine movie, and boy was it good!
Saturday we hung around the room for awhile after breakfast {while I got ready}. In the afternoon we left to go to downtown Wisconsin Dells, where they have a whole bunch of shops, restaurants and attractions. We walked around for a bit, stopped at DQ, then walked the Riverwalk. It was really nice and peaceful, and here are some great shots I got of everyone. I just love the one below of the 3 boys. My kids really are lucky to have uncle’s so close to their age that love them so much.
After the Riverwalk, we headed on a venture to find the WildThing Jet Boats. That boat was such a thrill, one of the biggest of my life. It was so much fun and we got so soaked. It’s funny because 2 different boats went out at the same time, we chose to get on the second one. It was a lot emptier, and stayed that way which was great. This boat tour was awesome! We did complete 360’s and the boat would come to a fast, sudden stop and we’d all get soaked. It was just an awesome thrill and I can’t wait til our next trip because we’re definitely going on that again! Once we got back to land and saw the people from the other boat, they were dry compared to us. So we definitely chose the best boat, and from the looks of things, we had more fun too! Here’s all the boys on the boat. The next pic is of the other boat. Stay tuned because I’ll be posting about the rest of the trip later!
