I love cooking meals with rice because it’s inexpensive, plus you can just toss a bunch of things on top of a good rice and voila! Meal. Here is a dinner I made that cost me just under $10 and it is delicious! Here is how it priced out: Sirloin Steak – $5, 1 Green Pepper – .89cents, 4 Mushrooms – .60cents, Broccoli – $1.99, Rice Pilaf Box – $1. Prices will of course be different in your area. So let me tell you how to make this yummy dish!
Ingredients:
- Sirloin Steak
- 4 Mushrooms
- 1 Green Pepper
- Broccoli
- 1 Box of Rice Pilaf
- 2 tbsp of Olive Oil
- 1 tbsp of Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp of Worcestershire Sauce
Instructions:
- Start the Rice Pilaf following the instructions on the box.
- Slice the Sirloin Steak into thin slices.
- Slice the Green Pepper and Mushrooms into thin slices.
- Add Olive Oil to Wok or Skillet.
- Put the Sirloin Steak into your Wok (or skillet) with the Green Peppers.
- Add the Worcestershire & Soy Sauce, stir it in so the meat and peppers are coated well.
- Put your desired amount of broccoli on to boil.
- When the Sirloin Steak is brown around the sides and a mild red in the middle, add Mushrooms.
- Once the meat is browned and the peppers are tender it is good to go!
- Make sure your Rice Pilaf is finished and your Broccoli is tender, then make your plates!
