When I first heard about SafetyTat all I could think was isn’t this going a little overboard? Of course that was a year ago and my then 3 year old and 8 month old were constantly at my side. Fast forward a year later and now I think this idea is absolutely amazing! What changed? My kids got older. My 4.5 year old now is constantly on the move and children can literally get out of your sight in only a moment. I live in Orlando which is all about theme parks and every time we go to one I become paranoid about her getting lost. I have to learn to let her explore in a safe and fun way right next to me but now I have SafetyTat to put on her arm in case the worst happens.

Some of you might still be skeptical. Here is my first hand experience with lost children. For two years of high school and part of college I worked at a big theme park in Orlando at a very popular roller coaster. In my time there 3 different children on 3 different occasions came to me because they were lost. I was just 1 of hundreds of employees so who knows how many kids are briefly lost while on vacation. Yes the theme parks have protocols for this sort of thing. In each of my cases the children were over the age of 5 and in most cases scared to death and did not even want to tell me their name let alone offer any other information that would have helped us find their parents quicker. One child did not even speak English. In each case a tattoo like SafetyTat could have help me contact the parents in minutes instead of the 30 or so just by the child pointing to it. When your child is missing every single minute is frightening for the kid and the parents.
I would even use these on my kids when I know they are on a field trip at school. With that many kids it would be all too easy to misplace one for a short time.
I recently hit up a local water park with Big Sis and I attached one to her arm. It stayed on all day and was easily visable. She thought it was cool. She did not get separated from me but it did ease my mind a little bit.

I put them on Big Sis’s clothes for school, her water bottle for soccer as well as her towel for swim class. In each case they have been washed in the washer or in the dishwasher many times and the labels themselves still look just like new! Way better than writing her name on everything with a sharpie! Any child that goes to school or daycare should have a set of these labels. A must have for back to school or kids going off to camp! So many people own the same things so this is a great way to keep your kid’s stuff with your kid.
