I have been wanting to try an Undercover Mama nursing tank for over a year now, so when I got the opportunity to review one for our baby shower event I was really excited. I practically lived in nursing tanks when my 10 month old was first born last July. I am still breastfeeding my little and it’s finally warm again in NY so I will rock my nursing tanks all summer long. I love the convenience of nursing tanks but they aren’t always super flattering. If you are a larger chested mama like myself, your ‘girls’ often don’t get the support they need from a nursing tank. Enter the Undercover Mama. This wickedly awesome tank turns ANY bra into a nursing tank. This means that with the help of the Undercover Mama you can now turn your favorite nursing bra or good old go to underwire bra in my case, into your favorite nursing tank.
The Undercover Mama comes with two pieces attached to the top of the tank top that allow you to attach the tank to your bra. There is a little plastic hook which slides on to attach to the bra strap; you can use this option with both a nursing bra and regular bra. There is also a little clear plastic loop that you can use to attach the tank to your bra. You can only use the plastic loop option with a nursing tank; just slip the little plastic loop over your nursing bra where the flap unhooks.
With the Undercover Mama you can NIP (nurse in public) with out having to lift your t-shirt up and expose your belly. The Undercover Mama has you covered, literally and will help you NIP more discreetly. Another great feature of the Undercover Mama is that it is long, and when i say long I mean it. It covered my long torso nicely and even extended past my back jean pockets while wearing it. The Undercover Mama is also really soft and strechy making it comfortable to wear all the time.
The Undercover Mama is available in sizes XS, SM, Med, Lg, XL, and XXL there is a size for everyone. I ordered my Undercover Mama in a size large, for reference I wear an XL size shirt. Undercover Mama suggests you order one size smaller than your normal t-shirt size. I must admit I was skeptical of this, but they were right and the large fits me perfectly. I can not say enough about this tank. I love it! Lately I have even been wearing it with my non-nursing bras. I just slide the attached plastic clip over my bra strap. When I do this I have to undo the clip when I nurse. When you use a nursing bra with your Undercover Mama you won’t have to undo the clip, you will just have to open the flap on the bra like you normally would when you go to nurse your LO. ?
